It’s time for whitewater rafting!! This year, we are heading back to the Nantahala River (in North Carolina) and using the Rolling Thunder River Company. We rafted there a couple of years ago and had a great experience. The trip will take place on June 23 – 25.
Scouts will be covered by the Troop, and the cost for others (adults/siblings) will be $48 per person. We will have a guide in the raft. The whole family is invited, but all participants must be at least 7 years old or weigh at least 60 lbs.
There will be camping for those that want to camp. We have booked the bunkhouse. The campsite cost will be covered by the Troop. Further camping details to follow, but for now, we need folks to sign-up! Please use the link below.

Food for this trip may be a bit more complicated than usual (due to Scouts/adults only attending for only Friday vs both nights). Beau Grant will be coordinating meals for the trip, so please talk with him if you can assist (or have questions).
In regards to food costs, everyone attending will need to pay $16 (those staying both nights) or $8 (those staying Friday night only). This applies to each Scouts, adult and siblings attending.
Payment is due by June 13. This due date applies for both the rafting fees and the food costs noted above. Please submit payment via [PayPal] or bring your payment to Jean Hilyard or Joni Johnston. We will not have a Troop meeting on June 13, so if you plan to pay with cash/check, please bring it this coming Tuesday, June 6.
