Rivers Alive!! Volunteers, along with the City of Clarkston’s Public Works staff, will help to clean and remove litter from our waterways and streams. Volunteers should meet at 9 am at Friendship Forest Wildlife Sanctuary (4380 East Ponce de Leon Avenue). The event is expected to end by 12 pm (noon). Below are some other key details.
- Covid-19 precautions and guidelines will be adhered to throughout the event.
- We will provide refreshments, masks, gloves, and all other necessary equipment for litter collection.
- Volunteers are encouraged to wear long sleeve/ pants, boots, or closed-toes shoes that can get wet. A limited number of rubber boots will be provided.
- Further information about parking to be added, as the parking lot is small.
