Saturday February 15, 10am-1pm
There is a workday scheduled at Stone Mountain on February 15th. The plan is to relocate and plant about 5-10 Woodland Oats, 15 Christmas Ferns, and 15 Pawpaws. We will need to bring shovels, gloves, hand trowels, water bottles, and wear clothes that can get dirty.
Our Troop is required to do four workdays in the youth camping areas at Stone Mountain as part of our charter. So, please plan to come out and help us fulfill this duty.
For those who don’t have a Stone Mountain parking pass:
At the gate, tell the attendant you are there for the “Scout Workday” and you will be allowed to enter for FREE.
If there are any questions, tell the attendant that Naomi Thompson, Education Supervisor at Confederate Hall, created a gate waiver for the SMMA Meeting and is aware of this meeting. If clarification is needed, have them call the number for Confederate Hall front desk (770-498-5658) to confirm.
