For those who are not going on the ski trip, there is a camping trip planned that same weekend at Stone Mountain. It should be a fun and educational weekend led by Mr. Carey, Mr. Towhey and Mr. Penkava. Scouts will get started on an Eagle-required merit badge and most likely do some hiking around the mountain trails.
The plan is the meet at the Scout Hut at 6pm, and drive together to the campsite. Scouts should eat before they arrive. Those who wish to drive directly to Stone Mountain can do so. They’ll be set up at the Scout Youth Camp in Campiste A which is the lower campsite, on the right side of the trail. They will return to the Scout Hut on Sunday morning.
The cost for this campout is just $12. Because of the late notice, please bring EXACT CHANGE IN CASH to the Scout Hut on Tuesday night (January 21st) so it can be distributed to the grubmaster the same night. You can sign up below.
