Troop 129 will be hosting our 5th Annual Flag Retirement Ceremony on Veteran’s Night, Thursday, November 11 @ 7 pm in Scout Hut amphitheater.
We welcome all veterans (and the entire community) to join us in this wonderfully reverent and solemn service, so please feel free to invite your family, friends and neighbors to attend.
Mr. Bill Penkava is coordinating this event for the Troop, but this will be a scout-led ceremony from start to finish. Various Scouts have volunteered to speak during the event. To use Mr. Penkava’s words, this “is an extremely powerful 30 minutes of reflecting and respecting (the flag and our veterans).”
