It’s almost time for the spring Camporee, which will be held March 24 – 26 at Bert Adams Scout Camp.
As of now, we have only signed up a small number of participants to hold a position for the Troop. We need to know how many Scouts are interested. We also need if any additional family members are attending (and if any are under 4 years in age).
We have the following information for this event (thus far)…
- Saturday Day: A bunch of activities for individuals, Troops, and patrols (like tomahawk throwing, skills competitions, a Dutch oven cooking contest, etc.)
- Saturday Evening: A campfire hosted by the OA with skits, awards, and a shout-out recognition for those elected to OA this season, as well as Eagles from the last year.
- Sunday Morning: Scouts Own worship and the Golden Axe Contest.
For each attendee, there will be a $15 food cost for this event.
As soon as we know more, we will update this announcement and share further details with the Troop. This should be a fun, Bert Adams, Camporee (with a slightly different feel than prior years).
We are asking anyone interested to please register by February 20. That will allow time for us to adjust the Troop registration based on number of people that sign-up. Please sign-up as soon as possible.
