Please join us at the Allatoona Aquatics Base on November 8 – 10 to introduce AoLs to camping with Troop 129. This trip is an opportunity for AoLs and Scouts to meet each other, learn new skills, complete some requirements, and mostly have fun in the woods.
The Allatoona Aquatics Base is great camping area that’s close to home but feels remote. The campsites are spread within trees along a peninsula into Lake Allatoona. There are bathroom facilities (modern composting toilets), potable water, a fire ring, and a small picnic shelter at our campsite.
We have boys, girls, and adults attending so we will set up distinct sleeping areas for each group. In accordance with Youth Protection, AoLs will need to tent together and not with Scouts. All adults will be separate. At the Scout level, adults are no longer allowed to go on campouts without becoming registered BSA members.
The Troops will handle the program and food.
Anyone interested should use the sign-up sheet linked below. We do not have a firm deadline for sign-up at this time, but we are asking it to be completed as soon as possible.
