10/6 UPDATE: Taste of Tucker has moved to October 15, and the Troop will no longer be able to participate (due to the conflict with Rivers Alive). We hope to be involved with this event next year.
On October 15, the 13th annual Taste of Tucker food festival will be held on Main Street in Downtown Tucker from 1 – 6 pm. The Tucker Business Association has asked Troop 129 to work a “service patrol” for the event. More information on the event itself can be found [here].
They are asking if we can help with trash pickup during and immediately after everything wraps up. This is a great opportunity for Scouts to earn some service hours and participate in a community event. The Association will also make a small donation to the Troop for our services.
Interested? Add your name to one (or more) of the three shifts in the sign-up genius linked below!

We need to ensure we have good coverage across the various time slots, which means 4 – 5 Scouts for each shift.
A couple of important notes…
- Scouts can wear a Troop 129 Class B shirt, but they need to wear BSA (or what look like BSA) shorts/pants. No “gym” shorts/pants. Scouts will need to tuck in their shirts and wear belts. Let’s look our best as we represent our Troop in the community!
- The expectation will be for Scouts in one shift/crew to stick around until the next shift/crew arrives to take over. When you arrive for your slot, make sure to check in with the Troop (most likely Patrece Keeter/Ms. Keeter).
If you have any questions, please reach out to Patrece Keeter.
