The camping fun for March continues with our second trip on March 18-20 to Bert Adams Scout Camp for the Scout Challenge (formally Spring Camporee).
This is annual trip for Troop 129, but this year things will be a bit different. This year the entire Atlanta Area Council will be participating in the event, and it is being called the “Scout Challenge”. It will be a jamboree style campout where Troops get a chance to work on various requirements and compete with other Scouts/Troops in games and competitions. There will likely be over 2500 Scouts/adults in attendance.
Historically, there has been the Golden Axe Competition at Spring Camporee, but that will not be included at this event (as that is more district specific competition). There will be a bunch of exciting activities; everything from a S.W.A.T. team to robotics.
Scoutmaster Jarod Vautrot will be leading up this campout. We will share additional details with the Troop as they become available.
